i-Pedal driving

Activating the Intelligent Pedal Mode (i-Pedal) changes your driving mode so that you can accelerate, decelerate & stop solely using the accelerator pedal only. Apart from the convenience, i-pedal mode also helps increase your available range by recovering more energy through rengerative braking and reduces wear & tear on the hydraulic brakes.

V2L Exterior Charging

Remote Smart Parking Assist 2* (RSPA 2*)[W] helps remotely park or exit a parking spot. It recognises parking lines and automatically assists with steering, accelerating, decelerating and shifting using the vehicle’s sensors. Braking is automatic if an obstacle is detected.

With 76.1 kWh (Air) & 99.8 kWh (Earth & GT‑Line) Li-ion battery, the Kia EV9 provides up to 443km, 512km & 505km WLTP range on a full charge on the Air, Earth & GT‑Line grades respectively.

Type 2 charging

Powered charging flap with a Type 2 charger displays current charge level information at a glance. Also available are safety functions including obstacle detection & automatic door closing when flap is open, yet charging is not occuring for more than 120 seconds.

V2L Exterior

Utilising outdoor V2L connector, the EV9 can be used to power electronics, home appliances and even charge other compatible EVs through Vehicle-to-Vehicle charging (V2V).

Highway Driving Assist 2*

Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA 2) helps maintain a set distance and speed from the vehicle ahead when driving on a highway or a motorway. It helps centre the vehicle in the lane while driving, even through a curve. In case the vehicle on the side is driving very close, it assists to adjust the vehicle’s path, not to be in danger. If driving above a certain speed, holding the steering wheel and operating the turn signal switch, it automatically changes the lane to the indicated direction.

Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB)*

Using radar and camera data, the AEB system senses the potential for a collision with a pedestrian, car or cyclist ahead and applies emergency braking to avoid or reduce the effects of a collision. Junction Turning & Crossing[AEB‑JC], Lane-change Oncoming[AEB‑LCO] & Lane Change Side[AEB‑LCS] features available.

Blind Spot View Monitor*

Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM) displays the rear-side image of the corresponding direction when the turn signal switch is operated directly to the instrument cluster.

Blind-spot Collision Avoidance Assist*

Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA) warns you if there is a risk of collision with a rear side vehicle in the blind-spot while changing lanes. When forward exiting a parallel parking spot, if there is a risk of collision with a vehicle approaching from behind it automatically assists with emergency braking.

Surround View Monitor*

Surround View Monitor (SVM) displays images of the situation around the vehicle in various views for safe parking, including 360° view in 3D. Furthermore the view can be transmitted to your compatible smartphone with Kia Connect app installed.

Navigation Based Smart Cruise Control*

Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC) helps drive at a safe speed on the highways and motorways using navigation data. In a safety speed zone or a curved section, the speed is automatically reduced appropriately before entering the safety speed zone or the curve section. Then when leaving the safety speed zone or the curve section, the speed is returned to the original setting.

Rear Cross-traffic Collision Avoidance Assist*

Rear Cross-traffic Collision-avoidance Assist (RCCA) provides a warning if there is a risk of collision with an oncoming vehicle on the left or right side while reversing. After the warning, if the risk of collision increases, it automatically assists with emergency braking.

Forward/Side/Reverse Parking Collision Avoidance Assist*

Forward/Side/Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist (PCA‑F/S/R) provides a warning if there is a risk of collision with the surrounding objects while driving at low speeds. After the warning, if the risk of collision increases, it automatically assists with emergency braking.

Safe Exit Warning & Safe Exit Assist*

Safe Exit Warning (SEW) & Safe Exit Assist (SEA) warns you if there is a risk of collision with a vehicle approaching from behind when an occupant opens a door to exit the vehicle after coming to a stop. When the driver presses the Electronic Child Lock button to drop off a passenger in the rear seat, if the risk of collision with a vehicle approaching from behind increases, the electronic child lock remains locked to help prevent the door from opening.

High Beam Assist*

High Beam Assist (HBA) detects the ambient light and illuminance, such as a lamp of an oncoming vehicle or a preceding vehicle and automatically adjusts the high beams to help reduce glare for other vehicles.
